This is a new one. My husband got a call from a "children's charity" asking for donations of items. He told them we don't have anything right now and my wife usually takes stuff to a local charity. They guy asks "don't you like children, don't you want to donate to a children's charity". Husband then asked what is the name of the charity you are representing. He got hung up on. Is there a new kind of scam trying to get goods. Just some scammer randomly calling. I haven't heard of this one. Anyone else getting these kind of calls.

There are new scams cropping up daily. This is why I value caller ID. Some people will stoop lower than a snake's belly to cheat people out of money. It's quite disgusting. I give to 2 well known and reputable charities and that's good enough as far as I'm concerned.
