They are building a Fairview Clinic in our town. We can pretty much go anywhere for medical--we have really good insurance. Does anyone use Fairview Medical Clinics and what is your experience? Right now we doctor at St. Paul Children's clinic and I love that but since our kids are getting older and don't really 'need' a pediatrician any longer I thought it might be a good time to switch.

I think they are great. I do medical transcription and transcribed for quite a few of Fairview associated clinics - they all communicate whether family practice or specialty. I also have a granddaughter (10) I have custody of with kidney problems and have gone through docs, as well as at the U of MN Children's Hospital and pedicatric nephrologists associated with them. They are the best!! She just went into a relapse in Alaska, the doc here knowing nothing about her problem contacted them, they gave him direction - He is impressed with the knowledge and knowing who he was talking about and giving him direction. I would not hesitate if in MN - going to one of their physicians, top quality in my mind and have seen a variety of different scenarios with other states and different affiliations. Fairview is tops!!!
