Hello, that was quite a while ago and I'm Tom. A friend in California showed me this and I wanted to say hi. I lived in Alligator almost 10 years after the Matt days. Who is this anyway?

I remember Sam, my piano player from Jackson, but I'm a little foggy about your code name Sam am I. Where were you from when you went to Delta State? It was a long party there for sure...lol

Oh my goodness, we are going way back aren't we. Where are you now? I went back to Cleveland last year to find my friend Chuck Chudy and we had a great reunion and he mentioned you. I'd love to hear from those of you who knew me back then.

I'm sorry to say that the Subway Lounge closed in 2003 and the building was demolished in 2004. The only thing there now is a Mississippi Blues Trail Marker. Thankfully, there are other clubs that are filling the void for live blues music though I'm not sure any number will ever be able to replace the Subway. Schimmel's on State St has blues from time to time and many who play there are those who use to play the Subway. Also, F. Jones Corner on Farish St is an excellent blues club that retains the feeling of the smaller lounges that once were. They have live music every weekend and play late into the night much like the Subway did.
