Where do people in their 30s or over in the Mississippi side of the Memphis metro area go and make friends? (shops)

I'm a 28 year old from Northern Virginia and after getting my bachelor's in history and working in this area for a few years I plan to move to either Kansas city missouri or in southaven mississippi. Say I move to the Mississippi part of the memphis metro area, what are places where people in their 30s or 40s or over go to that isn't a bar or a nightclub where people go and make friends and be social? Luke any parks are coffee shops or meetup groups?
