Default Pets on Beach?

Can someone tell me if it ok to walk your dogs on the beach,there? I'm coming down there next week and I need to know.

I don't know if it's legal or not, but I've seen people with their dogs on the beaches. Please keep your dog on a leash, I don't care how sweet Fluffy is, it scares the hell out of me to be walking along minding my own business and have a monstrous Golden Retriever run at me, slobbering and barking.

just be kind enough to pick up the mess,
It's bad enough to step on trash, much less dog doo....

Thanks, yall. They are (1) about 4 lbs & (1)5lbs soaking wet! I know ,I hate it when people don"t clean up after their pets.(or themselves). Also,When does the swimming island , open ? How much does it cost? Thanks,again!

Boats don't head out till March 31. A round-trip ticket is $22, you can get a season pass too.
