Just thought I would let all my wonderful CD friends (and detractors) know that DH and I are now the proud owners of 20 acres in my particular slice of Missouri paradise, Sainte Genevieve County!!!!!!!!
I am soooooooo happy, just had to let y'all know! Its gonna be quite a while til we are gonna be full-time residents, but no matter what Thomas Wolfe's opinion was, I can go home again!

I'm happy for you and hope you get there sooner rather than later. I also hope it truly becomes a homecoming for you.
In 13 days we'll be residents of MO and although my physical, childhood "home" is in southern California, I look upon the coming move as "moving back to America" in terms of values and that's very comforting.

Congratulations.... I have been saying that phrase to myself all day long....Missouri is not home, but Illinois is. And compared to Texas, St. Louis area feels like home to me....and it feels right. And I didn't know how much I missed it and I don't want to go back to that dry and hot alien place...

Thanks guys, its still sinking in that we own the property...... DH is a lot more locked down in his job than I, so I will be the one going back and forth, at least more than him, will post pix on my next trip up, I am looking at October......wow, I can actually say I am a Missourian again..... kind of
