I visited my sister last year in Missouri and loved it. I would love to move to the springfield area, but the problem is that I want my grown children and their families to relocate also but their concern is the job situation there. We have heard that jobs are hard to find. Is there anything else other than construction and hospital jobs?

Kraft Foods, Bass Pro Shops, Prime Trucking (and other transportation and logistics companies), a number of manufacturers, a new "inovation center" (full before it is open), education, health care...

I think there are good jobs to be had in this area.

COME TO COLUMBIA MO! The city is about half the size of Springfield, and only a few hours away! The city also has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country. The university of Missouri is in Columbia, creating about 45,000 jobs on its own!

Crime rate is a 5&6 there though. Trying to get away from that

What are the most popular websites in MO to use for job seekers? I personally am interested in the western area of the state, but links for any areas could be helpful for others.
