My husband and I are getting a divorce and will eventually be selling our house. I know it's a longshot and probably impossible, but wondering if anyone knows of any loopholes that would allow me to somehow transfer my mortgage loan between properties? Our rate is so low and I hate to throw it away without at least checking around. Thanks for any advice! Oh, and obvs I'll check with the Lender, but wanted to ask here first.

Property (both old and new) located in Jackson County, MO
Lender: Community America Credit Union

Some mortgages are assumable (generally FHA and VA loans), meaning you could potentially take over the mortgage on a house you buy, or whoever buys your house could take over yours, but I haven't heard of a mortgage transferring to a different house. Just ask your lender for a definitive answer.
