shot, I don't know where the closest casino would be. Your best bet is just to enter casinos is Mo. I think there is a map. That is pretty much how we found the couple we have visited. This isn't something we do all the time, btw.

Well we did venture to the casino on Friday, it was very nice, very little smoke smell except when you first walked in. About the middle of the floor there is an area that has no ashtrays. I didn't see any no smoking signs, but no one was smoking in the area. I enjoyed the variety of slots, actually did win a little, though it didn't start out that way and we found the employees very friendly. The valet gang were wonderful, the wait staff, the guy at the race book, even one of the gals cleaning up around the machines was friendly.

Hubby spent a good part of the afternoon in the race book, which is really tiny and behind one of the little coffee shop or snack bar restaurants. You can buy drinks (alcohol) and take them onto the floor which is very different from NM> We didn't, so I don't know about pricing.

The buffet had the sweetest crab legs I have ever tasted and yes, frog legs (which had mostly been overcooked) I don't know if I would do the buffet again. Next time we will go earlier, have lunch, enjoy the casino and head back home to eat.

NIta

Downstream Casino Resort: Dining (http://downstreamcasino.com/dining.php - broken link)

Thanks for the link on dining prices. We went to the buffet on Sunday afternoon which was $12.95 ($2.00 each with players card) All in all I thought it was pretty decent for a local buffet. My daughter went Saturday afternoon and it was $6.99 with players card. Very reasonable I felt. It's not Vegas buffets, but hey, we're not in Vegas (darn).

My fiance and I were going to Pineville Mo to visit a friend. I was curious if any of the casinos around there would tie the knot for us. Any suggestions?

lineman - I would recommend you sneak across the border and get hitched in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It's a very romantic little town and you can get married at a lot of places there. No casino or drive-in's like Las Vegas, but it it has a long history of being a wonderful place for couples to get married and spend their honeymoon.

Good luck to you both!!
