I'm a new member but have lurked a few times on this board trying to research the area a bit.
We are just in waiting mode for our house to sell (currently under contract) and have plans to move either to the Gulf Coast (or possibly further south to Florida) very soon.
I love seeing the pictures thread for these different areas because it gives outsiders a glimpse of the overall vibe of a place. I'm somewhat familiar with Foley/Gulf Shores/Orange Beach areas from vacationing there many times over the years, but a little less familiar with Mobile as I've only been there a couple of times. My extent of time spent in Mobile/Mobile area is from visiting Battleship Park, a lot of driving through it basically, and day-tripping over to Dauphin Island.

We are just trying to figure out the best place for us still but I'm very interested in the Mobile/Gulf Coast area and appreciate the pictures very much.
