Below is a link for the urban planning proposal of a new downtown hotel in the Fort Conde area. The current design has a rooftop terrace, which would certainly afford great views of the city/port.

I wonder what hotel brand? Too bad we can't have a Sheraton or a Hilton hotel (not Inn).

The Admiral Semmes used to be a Sheraton, but at the end of this year it'll be a Hilton Curio.

A full high story Hotel, or a Place or INN, because we have the latter already in our market?

This new hotel on Royal Street in Ft. Conde looks like it has the makings of a boutique hotel.

The Admiral Semmes switchover to Hilton is supposed to happen in December. It'll be part of Hilton's new Curio Collection.

After researching the Hilton Curio brand , the Admiral would be better suited as a Curio brand rather than a garden or inn. The Admiral has that elegant 1920's/30''s flair to it.Not to mention the hotel is undergoing extensive renovations. The Curio brand is for their unique collection.
