It's a shame that US 98 will only be 2 lanes for now and it will probably take another decade for them to finally 4-lane it. And sad part is that there is already some of the road constructed north of the Wilmer area.

I wish Alabama could stop taking so long to widen major routes in the state. Some of them have been underway for decades. We don't want to raise taxes, we can't seem to get a lottery going, so the only choice may be toll roads (as much as I detest them). I'm hopeful that the infrastructure package can help jumpstart some of these long-needed projects.

The infrastructure bill is a total waste of money the US doesn't have. Very little of it goes to actual infrastructure, and much of that is for a not-needed I-14.
