Default Weather Alerts for Winter 2010-2011

It's that time again that we should be posting some winter alerts.

I try to keep up with my area and some times don't have time to look at other areas so if you hear of an alert, please post it. You don't have to post the whole thing, just what you hear on the radio or TV.

I'm a weather spotter and report for Billings, South into Wyoming, so I'll have that area pretty well covered.

Looks like on the HI-LINE it will be a one day (Tuesday) event. Very gusty. Hoping it all melts away by the weekend. At least it will cool off for the hunt.

Default NOAA Winter Outlook for the US

•Pacific Northwest: colder and wetter than average. La Niña often brings lower than average temperatures and increased mountain snow to the Pacific Northwest and western Montana during the winter months, which is good for the replenishment of water resources and winter recreation but can also lead to greater flooding and avalanche concerns;
