Hi Forum,

I intend to relocate from Colville, WA to the Kalispell/Whitefish area.
I'm a senior citizen who loves the outdoors and am very active in both summer and winter sports. I initally will be looking for something to rent, that being an apartment, a condo or a house. I intend to visit over the holidays to find out what is available. I would appreciate any input, assistance or advice any of you might have.

Thank you...and have a wonderful Christmas Season.

Leif

Hi Leif! Sorry nobody has responded to you yet. I only live in Montana part time so I will do my best to give you some input. My in-laws are also senior citizens and moved to the Flathead Valley 3 1/2 years ago. They absolutely love it there and will never move back to California where they came from. If you like outdoor winter/summer activities then the Flathead Valley is the place for you. The recreation is endless. Hiking, Fishing, water sports, skiing/snowboarding, ATVing, biking, kayaking and my wife's favorite is shopping. Although Kalispell is a small town it still has almost everything you need. The winters are long and cold but if you don’t work and need to go out in it much then you can just enjoy the scenery like my in-laws do. It also gives you a great opportunity to learn how to cook new things because the restaurants in Kalispell really are nothing to brag about. As far as rentals? I don’t know how much you can afford or what you are looking for but there is a lot available right now with the economy being so bad. You have a very Merry Christmas! I know I will because I will be there in MT! Good luck to you and God bless you on your relocation!

If you have money, your set to live up here. If not, your screwed. WhiteFish Kalispell, Columbia Falls, Bigfork areas are big retiree communitees with land prices to show for it. Just as my clients who are finacial advisors up there, they love out of state peeps with loads of money
