A family of five looking to move to Montana. Can any one sugest a good area to move to. Tell me how the school systems are? What are price ranges on rental property for single famliy home? Is there a need for school bus drivers?Looking for a location about 25 to 50 miles outside of a big city? Want to stay closer to the southern part of Montana. Looking to move in Febuary or March of 2007 is winter to strong for this time of year for a move? Please answer me as soon as possible so we can make plans.Any property owners wanting to rent there place please reply also.

Lots of good areas, depends what you want. However, I really question the 25-50 mi. outside a city if you plan to drive a school bus. Winters in MT can be very snowy, and as a bus driver, you might not be able to get into the city for your routes at times.
Basically, when you say big city, you're looking at Billings, Bozeman, Missoula, Kalispell, Great Falls, Helena, or Butte, pretty much. Missoula's pretty far north, as is GF, so you're probably looking at Billings (far east), Helena (central, west), or Butte. Unless you want to consider smaller places like Dillon and various others.

They are hiring drivers for school busses in Fort benton right now - Fort Benton is the birthplace of Montana and probably the most perfect little mayberry left. I live in Geraldine - thirty miles from fort benton and real estate is very reasonable here. [cut ] Everything here is on a first name basis, and the town definately is willing to help you keep your kids on the straight and narrow path.
