Yup- Had to see it. Woke the kids up and let them see the last sliver until full eclipse.

Kind of neat to see it on winter solstice. The darkest day had a bright moon then *slam*, Oh no you didn't!!! Foiled by the eclipse!

Welcome to the dark days of winter. May we bloom in the spring (and quickly please!! )

I was unable to watch it due to things beyond my control.

I fell asleep on the couch.

It was beautifully clear here too. I was up until about 10 or a little after and then I looked at my watch and it was 2:30 and I was still setting up on the couch. Wasn't even leaning against an end. I must have been really tired.

Smile Clouds Got In The Way. Only Saw One Side. ~♥~

Not from "Both Sides Now" or was the song named "Clouds" ?
They got in the way to get any better shots that this.
It was a loony night in our neck of the woods.
Lots of barking at the moon.

This was the last shot I was able to get then it just went dark.

An earlier shot before the Wax On, Wax Off.

Somewhere in between the bright and the not so bright as the clouds got in the way.

Great shots! I got up and watched the spectacle. It was in the upper 30's here in FL which is chilly (I prefer the chilly weather); however, the sky was was very clear. Ironically, today is also my late mother's 89th birthday.

Rickers, we had clear, clear sky until just past your pic number 3, then wouldn't you know it. Flat little cloud bank rolled in.
Fla, I bet your mom was looking down on you with a smile.

BTW, we have survived the storm over here, not as bad as expected. I only worry when ALL the roads are red on the map! FH take a look at the road conditions now and again and you will get some idea of the variation over here.
