If that wonderful job doesn't pan out I'm sure that you could find some work near Shelby.

There are lots of folks in Montana that can do your job but not for the pay that is offered.
Your post is worded in a very condescending way and reminds me of a veiled troll post. Stay where you are please. Montana does not need or want folks who look down on others, there are too many of that type here already.

Hmmm. Well, it wasn't meant as a "troll post". Take no offense where none is given. I guess I'll have to think twice before I post on here. Have no fear however, as I was told that I had the least experience of the 5 people who applied, and have been eliminated from consideration for the job. HOWEVER, glendive medical center called me today about their kitchen manager position. So we'll see.

Please do not take the one post as gospel. We mean well.

Glendive is a great area, does it sound promising?

Recently, a friend (I would like to think of her as a friend) took a job at the local VA. Food service supervisor. I've been in the hospital 26 times since 2006 and one time was for almost 6 months. (August 22 til Jan 28). There is nothing more near and dear to me then food. hahahahahahaha

You are in a profession that is probably the most critical of any. People *****, complain, etc..... Truth be known, they have good meals, nurishing, even surprises (god I loved the surprises they'd sneak under my lid). Tough occupation. Everybody is a food critic.

Well, I guess this will be my last post on this thread. I got a callback on the hospital job, and will be talking to the hiring director tomorrow, with a skype online interview after that if the call tomorrow goes well. Things are suddenly picking up speed, and now I'm in the planning stages of what to bring and how to do it, and how to set my wife up for getting to glendive... Or maybe I take her and we just bring the bare minimum and we get the rest later? Not sure. Thanks to all those who had something positive to say, I appreciate it.

Hey, good luck on the Glendive job. From what you said in another thread, I think you'll like it there. It's definitely not DFW.

Come visit on the porch some time and tell us how it goes.
