I'm looking to relocate to Kalispell MT. I'm a single male in my early thirties, and I've been eyeballing Kalipsell for some time now. My job experience involves roughly 6 years of telecommunications work.

Seeing as I don't have any real ties to anything that would make moving all that risky, I figure I can pull this off without much fuss... at some point anyway.

As far as jobs go, anyone know some good places to start looking? I only need enough to support myself, and I hope that my experience so far can land me something. Sooner rather then later would be nice, but I can afford to be patient.

Are you accustomed to very cold and challenging winters? I wanted to move to Kalispell from California and 4 weeks there in the winter made me change my mind in short order. I did meet many nice people and of course, the scenery is superlative.

I wish you the best of luck there!

Click here for the Jobs office in Kalispell. In Montana, nearly 80% of all jobs, both public and private sector, get listed on the 'Jobs' site.

Then try the newspapers' classifieds:

The Daily Interlake is the only daily in the area, so click that link.

Also, jobs with the US Government occasionally become available for such things as the US Forest Service or Glacier National Park, search their websites.

You'll do fine - you've got the right attitude.

Good luck!

Yeah, good luck finding more than clerk jobs at Home Depot, Wally World or Costco. Serious dollar jobs require IT experience and you won't find them in Kalispell. Better give a second look at Bozeman, Missoula or Billings.

I was a slow learner - took me five years to leave after Plum Creek and the smaller operators closed down.

I moved almost two years ago from the flathead. The only thing I miss are the summers on the lake. But that's what vacations are for. Would never live there full time again.
