Hello everyone- my husband and I are considering attending Rocky Mountain College in Billings and I was wondering if anyone could provide a little more info on the college and/or the area of Billings in which it is located. If some more info would help- I am 20, pretty conservative politically, of a pentecostal bent with regards to religion-church/religious life is very important, currently attend a non-denominational one- and would like to do something academically with american studies/ english. Also have a strong interest in horses. Husband is 23, more liberal with regards to politics and interested in environmental science- specifically alternative energy. We currently live and- and have always lived in- northeast texas. Housing shouldn't be an issue as we'll live on campus if we attend. From what I've provided here, does Rocky Mt/Billings sound like it would be a good fit for us? thanks for any information.

What do you want to go to school for? Rocky is a good school for science or pre-med. If you're more interested in something else you might want to check out MSU-Eastern in Billings.

Rocky is a very small college and I think it's much more conservative than average.

Yeah, it is somewhat more conservative than average. Although I have a literature teacher that is a professor there. He is an agnostic, not a firm believer in religion, although he likes discussing it. Some of the professors are fairly liberal for the most part, but you will find some of the student body with some conservative small-town values.

Although it's private, it is a pretty good school (I don't believe in privatized education).

In the end, it depends on what you are going to study.

I have a friend who will be attending there to major in Computer Engineering.
