Thank you for the beautiful picture. How long does it take to get to some mountains from Great Falls? Which direction/highway would you take?

Thanks, Kim

I get around Montana quite a bit..... always something to see and good friends to visit.
You could live here a hundred years and never see it all.

I just figured out how to use one of the cameras I have, (wife got for me a few years ago) and it does avi clips, 60 seconds, 40 seconds, 15 seconds and such..... (with sound)

Now that I know how to work it, I'll post clips on my blog ( http://giftshoppeguy.com/blog/weblog.php (broken link) ) throughout the summer of area's we travel to in Montana..... seeing clips are really cool.
Just posted a few today.

Who knows??... You may start your own *Corps Of Discovery

The picture doesn't really do Great Falls a whole lot of proper justice, the emphasis in this one is the river (Missouri River)

To the left... if the picture were larger, you'ld see the mountains (rockies) and to the right, you'ld see the rest of Great Falls, Malmstrom AFB and the Highwoods (mountains).

We'll try to snap s'more when weather clears.

AvMan1 posted some pics in these forums shortly after his arrival here (in Great Falls), and he got some good ones of the mountains around here

Look for his posts here, and you'll find his pics.

Getting to the mountains??... well, you'ld go east, south and west to get to the mountains..... depending on which direction you go, it could be 20 minutes to 50 minutes....... you have your pick of 4 or more ranges here.....

Pretty Cool Huh??

Hi(:
Thanks so much for posting that Great Falls piccie! I saved it to my computer and its GORGEOUS! *nods a lot* I have to move to Cut Bank for a year because it's the only place I could find a rental house on such short notice, coming from Seattle and all and doing it all from out of state is hard. But I plan to be in Great Falls, renting a house there so I can get set up in a college there. I can't wait! It looks so beautiful, I miss it. Haven't been there in years.

God bless,
SnuggleBump
Seattle
