Is there any passenger rail service from the bozeman/helena area or anything close by to glacier national park? I will be arriving to the bozeman area in a few days and would like to find a quick way to glacier, its a 200 mile drive from bozeman and I dont want to stay overnight.

Thanks in advance.

Default Rail Transportation?

The Amtrak train runs through northern MT, so while it goes through Glacier, it does not pass through Bozeman. Based on your criteria, flying is probably the only option.

Yeah it seems that way the more I read, from my ID you must be surprised I wouldnt choose flying as my primary option, It turns out that the other members of my party just dont have the stomach for small aircraft flying over the mountains.

Default Bozeman to Glacier

I didn't even look at your name/handle before replying. Based on what you stated your requirements were, flying is the only option. You stated, "find a quick way to glacier, its a 200 mile drive from bozeman and I dont want to stay overnight."

By the way, why such a quick trip to Glacier? To see the park you'll need to drive at least part of Going to the Sun Road, and that in and of itself should take most of a day, at least. To not spend at least one night in the area is really cheating yourself (and whoever is with you).
