I want to live and work in montreal after I finish my post secondary education but don't know how to go about doing this.
How long will it take me to learn french? How should I learn french? Is it hard to get a job in a place like montreal right out of college/university/whatever? What about aftet a year of career experience? What neighbourhood should I live in?
I will be graduating with a bachelor of arts degree (hons) with a history major ,as well as a post graduate certificate in International Business. I assume I would need a bit of career experience before moving I guess.
I guess I just don't know about the logistics of the whole thing
Lack of French and lack of work experience will not be in your favor when looking for a job in Montreal, not saying it will be impossible but could be tough, send a bunch of cv's and you might get lucky,Or why not try getting a job in Ottawa where you can learn French in a predominantly English environment and visit Montreal on the weekends as its less than a 2 hour drive, If you have to immigrate to Canada to accomplish this then thats another can of worms you'll have to sort out.
