What is your favorite place for smoked meat, and bagels? I only been to the The Main Deli on St Laurent. I usually stay in Chinatown though. Are there places in between or nearby?
What about bagels? I just learned from watching a Wolter's World vid on YT that Fairmont Bagels is opened 24hrs. Is that true? If so, I feel so bad. I never tried a Montreal Bagel because I never had time. But if one is 24hrs there is no excuse. And I am from NJ/NYC, so I need to know which is better.
Is smoked meat and Montreal bagels only a city centric item? Can both be found all over Quebec like in Quebec City or in the Eastern Townships? If so, what are some good spots outside Montreal? Do they have in other Canadien provinces?

Bagels: St. Viateur all day, every day (and our bagels are superior to NYC bagels)
Smoked Meat: Schwartz and The Main are a toss up for me, Reuben's is also great.

Montreal-style smoked meat and bagels are pretty ubiquitous all across Quebec. You can find them everywhere. (Though obviously rarely as good as the originals in Montreal.)
You can also find them to some degree in other parts of Canada, but coverage isn't quite as comprehensive as it is in Quebec.
