MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- A judge has approved the opening of a home for recovering alcoholics and addicts in downtown Morgantown.
Founder Douglas Leech first proposed the Morgantown Sober Living home last fall and now says it will open within two weeks. He says he'll likely hit capacity with 14 male residents in about a month.
Leech is working with Chestnut Ridge Center and West Virginia University to find people who are committed to sobriety and participating in long-term outpatient treatment.
This will be an outstanding program for folks in recovery, and it is located in an absolutely beautiful Victorian mansion with stained glass and cut crystal windows with easy access to many employment possibilities.
