What is the story with this anyways? Why has it been empty for so many years? Its a prime location and it is being wasted. Greedy owner? Sinking lands? Someone must know

I've heard, but not verified, that WVU owns the building now. At one point they were considering putting their IT department there but may have backed off.

Which Hills are you talking about? I'm thinking it's the one at Star City by the bridge. It could've been Ames though.

Yes, the one in Star City in the same plaza as Golden Corral. It has been wasting away collecting dust for ages. Seems such a shame for a prime location. Not that I would want it, but they could have put a Cabellas in that spot.....or even better a Dave and Busters

It was, at one point, rented by Mylan. I'm not sure if it still is.

I wouldn't be sad to see Golden Corral torn down in favor of all that.

Well they wouldnt necessarily have to tear it down. Theres plenty of room for neighbors, but id prefer many things over the GC and an empty building

I have no idea if it's being used for anything now, but it was being used as a sort of staging/warehouse building a few years ago. I'd wager a guess that the condition of the building itself had kept some potential tenants out.

You're not going to get a Cabellas this close to the Mega-Cabellas in Wheeling. They won't even put one in Pittsburgh because of that one, which is huge. That is a prime location, and it is surprising that somebody hasn't snapped it up yet. The University owning it could explain that though, if that is the case.
