Hello,
Had a quick question for all. I am doing a FHA loan with the mortgage only on my name. Is it possible to have the title on both me and my wifes name? The lender told us that FHA rules are strict and you require both names on everything. If mortgage is only on my name then I cannot have title on both names. Is that correct? If not what is the procedure?
Thanks,
Amar
Even if only one spouse is on the mortgage, the non-borrowing spouse should still be allowed to be on title... they'd just have to sign the Truth-in-Lending and Mortgage Instrument at closing.
Im in MD, my husband and i closed on our home last month, because im a stay at home mom im not on the mortgage, however i am on the title with him. We also had an FHA loan.
