We're doing what we can- but my husband is now working from home and since we didn't know he'd be doing that two months ago when we moved in, we're stuck in a two bedroom with two kids and no office. He has his computer in my son's bedroom closet. I was just hoping that rather than move AGAIN in to a rental, that we'd be able to find some way. Even if it's a Lease with Option, we just don't want to get ripped off.

It sounds like getting with an FHA specialist is the way to go anyway since they can help us sort through some of what's on our credit report. Does anyone know anything good or bad about Ditech? I keep seeing them advertised on television.

To put it as simply as possible, AT&T and BellSouth has owned Cingular since 2004. When they merged, they changed the name, but essentially, it is the same company.

So...are you saying we should be able to contact AT&T and they can tell us who has the collection? And if we wanted to dispute it?

You're welcome.

I just want to be settled in one place, but it looks like the only way we'd be able to buy now is through a lease option. That's if they are willing to take a chance on us.
