A very nice 3 BR, 2B, 2 car garage, single family home on a quarter acre in Southwest Florida (where I plan to move). Or, a so-so condo or older rowhouse in Baltimore County that probably needs work (where I currently live).
I have just a quick question….it’s really to settle an argument with my wife. Here it is.
Do you know of anywhere in your area…where you could find a small nice home or condo for $160,000 or less? We have about $160,000 in cash to spend. We do not want a mortgage. We are minimalists…who spend most of our time outdoors anyway. A safe, decent, area for kids is the only criteria…bit it’s a must.
There are MANY parts of the country where $160,000 will buy you a very nice place to live. Do you have a preference for rural life or city life? (You won't be getting real big city life, but maybe within 30 minutes of some big cities). Also, WHICH area of the country do you prefer?
In my little town, $150k will get you a nice home 3-4 bedroom home. It will probably be 20 years or older that will need some updating, but still a nice home.
