Today it was 5.25% 30 year fixed. Do you think it will go lower since the president signed the stimulus package?

We were quoted 4.875 w/0 points (and only 5% down). It might go lower, but I can't wait! (and I'm so glad it's come down from 5.5!)

I'll have to check again w/the credit union, several weeks ago it was 4something w/1 point - ideally, I'd like to re-fi at NO points in the 4-something range

I was able to get 4.875 last year during a dip. I will pull the trigger again if it gets in the 3.75% area. Fingers crossed.

We managed to get 4.625% with no points or origination on a 30 year fixed with 20% down. This was with CTX mortgage. We locked on 12/18/08 and I don't think rates have been in that low since.

Locked in yesterday with Wachovia for 4.75% with no points and 3/4% origination fee on 30yr fixed. Great deal overall but not as good as some of the people in this thread. But I have the floatdown option so I can hope rates drop further.
