I am just curious. If someone crashed into me and they are at fault, will their insurance go way up vs say they hit a car? figured it might because medical bills will be going through the roof and of course a law suit

Depends. The times I was hit, were all hit and run. Not a single one stuck around.... don't bank on someone Elses insurance covering you. Now, mind you, wearing head to toe gear (about $2000 worth) paid off multiples of times over as I only ever had one accident that resulted in an injury that required actual care. That included a 70mph trip down the asphalt on the DC beltway (not the time I was hurt, bruises and sprains). I had a couple 100+ mph slides too, but those were on the racetrack.

Anyway, don't worry about the Other person. Do everything you can to cover your own 6.

I have been a victim of a hit and run on my run. I was ice skating and someone hit my parked car. My insurance ( travelers) paid the claim but at renewel time they almost doubled my rate!!

You lose no matter what with any incident.
