Do any off you use earbuds instead of Sena while riding? How does it work for you? I want to listen to music but its seems expensive to buy Sena Blue tooth when other options are available. What are your thoughts?

Only use earplugs while riding. Your hearing suffers gradually without plugs while riding motorcycles. Just like you never notice your TV getting dimmer as the years go by.
I wear earplugs everywhere at work, at bars and strips clubs, driving.
Motorcycling requires 100% attention/concentration. Don't dilute that, with music, or podcasts.
Spot on. If someone wants to daydream as they listen to their favorite music while on the road, drive a 4-wheel vehicle. Riding a motorcycle demands 100% of your attention. Besides, if you're not out there to fully take in the experience of riding, then what's the point of being on a motorcycle in the first place?
I want to concentrate on the riding, the handling of the motorcycle, the interaction with the vehicle as you take the curves, the sound of the pipes, the wind, the acceleration, the road ahead, etc. I can wait to enjoy the music later.

Ear plugs are one thing (ok, two things) and ear buds are something altogether different.
One attenuates sound, while the other creates sound/distraction.
But, you are correct in that hearing is damaged by accumulation of noise and the level on volume, duration of exposure.
You guys are wrong, i ride with Airpods pro with noise canceling on every day and have been since last year. I can still hear my bike. It revs to 15 000rpm so just put a gear down or two and everbody on earth will hear her scream
If you get distracted by a song or podcast you really should consider taking the bus or train instead...

It's not about hearing your own bike, it's being able to hear everything else around you.
