Other that a few extras its bone stock, right. I would give no more that $7,500.00. You also need to concider what state you live in, like Ohio the price I just gave you is just about right. I sold a 1977 FLH Electraglide 80ci a couple of years ago and it went for $8000.00 on its own. So look around at the market in your area and pay special attention to the types of bikes and thier closing prices.

Its good lookin thu

I'm not that up on the value of this particular bike, depends on if you like the mods that have been done - or would you rather have a bone-stock one? Returning it to stock ride height is not that big a job, will restore some ground clearance if that matters to you.

It's basically a good bike, not super fast, but gets out of it's own way, very easy maintenance.

H-D hold their value pretty well, so if/when you want to sell on, you should get most of your $ back.

I wouldnt pay asking price on any bike right now. Specially with the recession so you have room to bargain. Are you set on a HD ? If I were purchasing right now I would get a Shadow.
Have you ridden before ?
If not get a cheaper and comfortable bike. Harley's are the first bike for alot of people wanting to get into riding and they buy em and realise 1000 miles later that its not all looking cool so they sell it. Hence the majority of bikes on ebay seem to be Harley with low miles.

I would get a Yamaha or Honda motorcycle over a HD myself. I posted this mainly for a friend that likes HD over Japanese motorcycles. I had a Yamaha Majesty Scooter and sold it about a year ago.

Well tell him with the recession its a high price.
If he really wants it start at $6,000 and cry and moan till you meet somewhere that is a betterprice.

I purchased the 2009 XL883L NEW this past Saturday for $7200 (Pennsylvania) I personally believe that the financing is easier to get on a new bike vs a used bike and I have really done my homework. I would seriously consider this. I don't understand why it would have been lowered an additional inch. I would be too close to the pegs and I am female only 5'2". The airbrush probably cost the most, but going stock you can customize to your personal preference not someone elses. Good Luck with whatever you deside. I personally still can't stop smiling.....

Crackpipe price.

No vehicle is an investment, no matter what the dealer says. There are lots of 883's kicking around, you can find way better deals.

Yeah, that sounds like a high price to me. As LBuckner, said, you can get a new one for less than that.
