Last century, the Big Four scariest villains in cinema were Frankenstein, The Wolfman, Dracula, and, the Mummy.

Now that it's a new Century, I feel that we need a new Big Four. Hey, if we can have new 7 wonders of the world, why not this?

Who should it be?

* = Yes, he is a Comic Book super villain, but I'd count him considering Ledger's performance.....

Are you asking for MONSTERS or VILLIANS? The two are very different. I am assuming you mean VILLIANS (sometimes villans are not "scary" but just plain awesome) so I have to go with:

Darth Vader
Smith - from the Matrix movies
Marcellus Wallace - Pulp Fiction
Voldemort - Harry Potter

Well, I probably should have said "VILLAINS", but you get the idea....

A special "shout out" has to go to Darth Maul who is by far the most awesome character in any of the Star Wars movies.

Also:

The young Malfoy kid in the Harry Potter movies. I HATE that kid.
The Nazi Jew Hunter in the Inglorius Basterds

Darth Vader. No one else even comes close. He is the king. But if the king needs three more members for his court, I'd have to go with:

Bruce the shark (from JAWS)
The Terminator (Ahnuld version)
Dick Cheney

I actually started to list Chucky at first..... But I left him off because of the two recent films, which were more comedy than anything, I substituted Chuck for Leatherface.
And I really wanted to keep it at 13.
