The guy from Smallville looks too young and the guy from Superman Returns was basically cast because he looked like Chris Reeve. I didn't think he was particularly great. Then again, he didn't have much to work with. I just hope they cast Lois Lane better this time.
Same here. Lois was just awful in Superman Returns. Probably a combination of the writing and Kate's dreadful performance.
I thought he was great as Superman also. Ben Affleck is out as Batman. He was great too. DC will never top Marvel in films. The films except Wonder Woman were not as profitable as they thought. Since money talks, its not surprising there was a shakeup.
Maybe they can get that Nic Cage superman movie made now.
Brandon Routh might be a good re-cast. He had the height. If he develops the build like Cavill need in the Man of Steel he will be the perfect superman.

He was good also, but cast in an awful film. That film of Superman was terrible. His career took a dive after that too it seems.
