Anyone seen this yet? I was sort of stoked to see it, but all the reviews I've read describe it as really terrible, and possibly one of the worst films Cage has done.

What did you guys think?

If its worse than Willow Man that's saying something. Haven't seen a review that says its that bad but none of them have had anything good to say either.

It didn't look too bad from the trailers. Have to wonder why the release date held it over from when it was supposed to debut in 2010.

I've seen it. For a movie set at the time of the plague, the dialogue seemed laughably modern.

However, there ws some nice scenery in places.

You can tell from the previews this movie is going to be terrible. They keep repeating that one nicholas cage line..."If the girl is not what you say she is, she will not be yours to burn" Lol that is the stupdest one liner i have ever heard.

The reviews have been uniformly vile...I think I will pass on this one.

From the reviews it sounds more like the film is bad due to lousy direction than anything else. When the director can't make up his mind what he'd doing and then they try to "tone it down" half way through to get a PG-13 rating, it's bound to suck. Apparently they changed the ending as well.

Might wait for this one to come out on dvd and hope they have the original ending as a "feature"

I just read reviews that gave it 2 1/2 stars.

I thought I wanted to see it, but I am not a Nic Cage fan anymore so I think I will pass also. It was disappointing to see Ron Perlman in a back up role to Cage, that's sad!! IMO he's too superior an actor for this.
For me, Cage's best movies were: The Weather Man, Leaving Las Vegas, and Kiss of Death.

It was okay. Not great by any means but not the worst thing I've seen this past year. One reviewer said you could see Nic Cage at least trying to give a performance rather than his usual phone-it-in effort and I personally would go see Ron Perlman read the phonebook. If you do go, plan on checking your brain at the door and just try to enjoy.
