I think Stephen Chow was initially slotted to both direct and play Kato, but he backed out of directing due to creative differences (he wanted Jack Black as the Hornet for one). I don't know if he's still playing Kato or not. I haven't heard much on the flick since.
I think Seth Rogen might be co-writing the movie as well.
I don't know exactly why, but I despise Seth Rogan and Will Farrell and any movie they are in. Farrell's man child and Rogan's schlubby slacker (always the same for each) are tiresome, unfunny and boring. I wonder how this movie will turn out.

Hmmm - I pretty much agree with you on Farrell - but I really like Rogen's schlubby slacker characters. But I can see not liking them. I wonder if he is now suffering from overexposure because I used to hear nothing but good things about him but now he seems popular enough to be one of those "love him or hate him" kind of actors.
I love the fact that the guy has been doing professional standup comedy since he was a young teenager. In my mind, he's a born star.
I'll definitely be in the theater for Green Hornet.
The original Green Hornet actor became an actual cop out in Nevada or Arizona or somewhere. Bruce Lee of course as well know, OD'd in the 70s and his son Brandon was shot to death accidentally in the 90s.

From Wikipedia:
There was no visible external injury; however according to autopsy reports, his brain had swollen considerably, from 1,400 to 1,575 grams (a 13% increase). Lee was 32 years old. The only substance found during the autopsy was Equagesic. On 15 October 2005, Chow stated in an interview that Lee died from a hypersensitivity to the muscle relaxant in Equagesic, which he described as a common ingredient in painkillers. When the doctors announced Lee's death officially, it was ruled a "death by misadventure.
So, if by OD you mean he had an adverse reaction to a perfectly legal painkiller that was taken for a legitimate purpose (headache) in the prescribed manner then I guess you could say he ODed.
Others might argue that his death was not an OD and that no one should be impugning his reputation by saying it was.
