I saw this movie mentioned in some news article regarding movies out right now. It mentioned this and that it was available as a preview movie on demand.
So I'm watching it. It's cute if you like the genre. Got Socks from Reaper, Alan Trudyk.
Basically its a send up of the college kids in the woods getting picked off one by one by crazed hillbillies. Turns it around and stands it on its head.

I saw this preview a couple weeks back. I love the concept of the movie. I just hope the preview didn't give away all the laughs.

Personally, I thought it was about as good as Shaun of the Dead.
One of my favorites in the last couple of years...seriously.

Seen it 4 or 5 times.
In fact, I may watch it again right now. lol....

SPOILER ALERT:
Spoiler
The beginning sequence is actually 'the killer' from the end.

Don't read the reviews (yeah right, too late) but...just sit back with a cold one and enjoy!
May help, if you actually know people 'from the country'...

I thought it was pretty funny. Not nearly as good as Shaun of the Dead, though, which rates as one of my favorite movies of all time.

I agree. Whole heartedly (sp?). Hot Fuzz also, can't wait for last installment of Ice Cream Trilogy, or whatever it's called. (some movies ... repeated viewing, always pick up funny details you missed the first two times, the posters on the walls, the text in the newspaper clippings, some.... well, I can't even watch the whole thing, once. Just too predictable and cliche...Splintered, yes...talking to you.)

But, on par. With Shaun of the Dead, I thought. Apparently, not alone.
Especially compared to every other 'dark comedy' made in the last ten years.
Which, sadly, has been very disappointing.

'Tucker'...there are many jokes, you...or maybe just me....won't get until the second time around.
"Not just fall in your lap.." Etc.

Would LOVE to be proved 'wrong'....or pointed in a good direction, 'dark comedy' is my thing.
Bromance BS and 'Romantic Comedy' make me sick...I tried...

Last edited by FaceInTheCrowd; 11-03-2012 at 07:12 AM.. Reason: 'Black Comedy' and 'Dark Comedy'...I guess, different things. :)
