There are some rap and R&B songs played during some scenes. I thought it was interesting.

Django Unchained Review - Hollywood Reporter
This is a great movie, just watch it for yourself and you determine. If that content wasn't in the movie, then it wouldn't be real. In the theatre I was in, there was more lot more Whites than Blacks, there was Whites sitting right next to me. Everyone was vibing and laughing together because the move has some serious moments and some comedic moments. Overall great movie!

They came out with the comic book about the same time as the movie. Rumour has it that the movie is so good(havent seen it yet) that the comics will continue. Normally they release a 4 or 5 part mini series of a comic but it seems this one may be an ongoing title. Who would have thought Jamie foxx would be a comic book hero

Yeah, but it's real!

The tense scene at the dining table where Candie, Django, and Schultz exchange repartees is reminiscent of the Inglorious Basterds dinner table scene where the American spies end up in a shoot out with the Nazis. Classic Tarantino.

The scenes with Broomhilda (Kerry Washington's character) getting whipped and branded was painful to watch. The scene with the two slaves fighting to the death was painful to watch. The scene that had Django beating the slave owner was classic. The scene with Broomhilda fainting when she saw Django was funny. Samuel L. Jackson's portrayal of a sell-out among all sell-outs, and how he was ultimately dealt with was just brilliant. The scene where Broomhilda was walking as that song "Black Gold" was playing while D'jango was looking at her was one of the most beautiful scenes in the movie.

Reservoir Dogs tried to start a color war also.

It pitted Pink against White against other colors.

If you are a white person who owned slaves, then you would be offended by this movie. Yep, this movie puts you in a bad light. Yep, your feelings are hurt. You can always sue for defamation.

Just saw it. Loved it!

Favorite scenes:
1)Samuel L as the sellout and how he reacted when they killed Leo
2)The klan complaining about the bags (hilarious) i grew up in a town where we had klan marches in the summer (70's and 80's)
3)Djano beating the slave owner when he was about to beat the girl tied to the tree

Scenes hard to watch:
1)Broomhilda being beaten
2)Fight scene in the parlor between the slaves (had to close my eyes)
3)Jame coming back at the end to get Broomhilda

I will definitely buy the dvd when it comes out. I wish everyone would see it. I know so many Black people who are ashamed of slavery. hello. It was a holocaust. These people didn't wake up and say i wanna be enslaved for 400 years. My people want to work for free for 400 years. If anything they're heroes. We need more films about the subject. Good job Quentin.
