I don't understand your post. Your question (if that is what it was) seems to be incomplete.

Default I get it.

You are asking if this film is too old to still hold weight. I say no. I grew up and JCVD and other action stars were my idols , And Kickboxer is still one of my favorites. Unintentionally funny in some parts (Van Damme's bar dancing/fighting scene) And the rest of it is a classic.

Us die-hard fans' of the golden age of Martial arts/Action films will always love these films. I just caught "Revenge of the Ninja" on New years eve and watched it for a bit. Felt like a kid again.

You can watch the hell out of these movies on YouTube. I had a Jeff Speakman marathon on New Year's Day.

If you are asking if it still stands up, then I guess I would say yes. It is one of the better JVCD movies that is for sure. Way better than JCVD itself, which came out not too long ago.

You got what I was saying. I wanted to see if anyone could figure it out and you did. Thanks for the post, and yeah I loved Revenge Of The Ninja when I was growing up. Just saw it the other day again on DVD and man I can't beleive I thought it was 'that' cool back then, but I guess when you grew up with it then you don't know any better. I always love watcing the scenes with that blonde chick in the jacuzzi...lol

I also think it stands up, I guess I was just in need of validation for beleiving this. So, in your opinion does Kickboxer beat Bloodsport? It's pretty hard to decide between lines like, "I want Tong Po, GIVE ME Tong PO!!!" vs. "He is the American Sh*thead who makes chicks from bricks"....lol

And don't forget Van Damme's line in Bloodsport when his friend the biker guy is about to get beaten by the baddie:

Noooooooo....STOOOOOOOOP LOL.

JCVD certainly had some unintentionally funny moments, Despite having great films and ability. Cyborg is probably my favorite though, With the main characters named after guitars and that crazy villain with the electric eyes. Guy looked like someone in a back alley in Time's Square in the 80's.

I vote Kumite from Bloodsport.

Anyone remember Lionheart? Another good film that did not get as much recognition I think.
