Even when Asian men are cast in films, it tends to be in very stereotypical roles: martial arts master, computer and/or science genius, or if they're Japanese they can be a ruthless business tycoon. Other than that, there just aren't very many prominent roles for Asian men in movies.

Yes, there are the obvious choices like Chow Yun Fat, Jackie Chan, and Jet Li, but again, most of their roles are in martial arts movies, and most of their best roles aren't in American movies but in Chinese imports. Ken Watanabe is a great actor, but has he ever been cast as anything but a stoic samurai or military officer?

As for mixed race relationships, we ought to be encouraging it, not discouraging it. If the result of mixed race relationships are people like Halle Berry, Jennifer Beals, Rashida Jones, Phoebe Cates, and Kelly Hu ... well then, I say we need a law mandating that 9 out of 10 marriages have to be mixed.
True.
I also noticed Hollywood uses a lot of black actors nowadays, and often there is a black hero (though not the leading role) in every movie.

Sorry off topic but thought you should know.
Ok yeah, but in those HK kungfu movies, there's usually no romantic female lead for our hero to "get with".
I think kissing scenes in Asian movies were a relatively recent phenomenon ... but I digress.

Do you know how much of a struggle it was for those black actors to get to that point and still is? Yet people want to silence them. Just a few weeks ago we had people protesting a commercial because it featured an interracial couple. Good thing most people had good enough sense to not get all up in arms, but, don't think everything is all hunky dory because you are seeing blacks in more prominent roles. Don't get into the divisional nonsense that keeps this crap going. Things are moving in a positive direction for all people, keep making your voice be heard, You do have some good points, but, the tone of this thread isn't quite the way, it dosen't do you or your cause any good by knocking anyone else down including those at the top.

Keep an eye out for this phenomenon: in Hollywood movies where there is a group of characters of mixed races, the minorities, more often than not, get killed off first.

Wut, you don't remember Born in East L.A? Cheech Martin and Kamala Lopez?

It happens but not as often as you probably would like.

You hate me stating the fact?
I just pointed out there are many black roles nowadays but the same cannot be said for Asian (male) roles.

I am aware that blacks have a lot of social disadvantages etc., but Asians are often ignored even though they also suffer the disadvantages, and they do not get the help.

Yeah. The blond guy survives, because the actor is paid the most.

Its the white men who are being totally emasculated by Hollyhood. More than any other man he is made to look like a fool and his wife or whatever she is he is living with is made the smart one. Then the kids are next on the most wise chart but so far the white male is still a little wiser than the family dog.

If the white man isn't abusing minority's he is abusing something else. I don't think the Asians come close to getting as shafted as the most hated male human species as the European white male.
