it's been neither confirmed nor denied that it's a Godzilla remake, though JJ Abrams has stated he was inspired by Godzilla movies. I personally think it's going to be something original, not a remake of any sort. people are saying it's the smoke monster from LOST brought to the big screen, but I doubt that too.
i'm watching that tonight....hope its good...i'm over the mystery!
