In my numble oppinon:

The Sixth Sense- One of the best I have ever seen.

Unbreakable- First rate, unique film. Especailly awesome for comic book fans.

Signs- Had its moments but made no sense whatsoever. The can travel insterstellar distances but don't wear close or even have a chainsaw to break inot a door? Their weakness is water but they come to a planet covered in 2/3 oceans? Stupid.

The Village- did not see because I knew by watching the trailer that there were no monsters.

The Lady in the Water- the single worst film I have ever seen, and this is coming from a guy who has watched 1500 mostly low budget horror films. I was shocked that the man who made unbreakable would try to pawn this off as a finished product.

After Earth- Smith family vanity project with unintruiging aliens, lots of plot holes, and Jayden Smith stinking it up all the way.

Never saw the rest. May see this one though.

He has talent, but he has had some great films Signs and The Sixth Sense - and some terrible films - The Village and Lady in the water.

From the trailer, I think this one is worth a shot. He seems to deal well with horror within the framework of the family. That Norman Rockwell premise that slowly deteriorates into ghastly horror, suspense and plot twists. While retaining the back drop of normalcy.

So, I think this could be good.

I am not seeing this in theaters the premise just isn't me though I have heard it is really good. Perhaps I'll wait for the library.

I really like sixth sense and unbreakable.

the village was pretty sad, but I liked the twist. The happening was terrible, bad acting and script. I have no idea why signs is highly rated as it was a dud to me. I hope this new one is an improvement. I think his ideas are good but not always executed well.

Saw The Visit today. It was surprisingly entertaining. A bit of a horror/comedy. Had its creepy moments.

It's the best Shyamalan film I've seen since Signs in 2002.

Ok fellow movie buffs, I respectfully and adamantly disagree. I put this on my worst film list.
I could have just stuck with the movie trailer and been fine.
So much build up, and no pay off.plus, I figured out the "surprise" element pretty early on.
This movie seemed more like a project for high school film class.
He should have quit at Sixth Sense

I got curious and looked up spoilers. The twist doesn't seem creative at all. I thought it was pretty dumb, actually. Execution may have been good, but the idea itself didn't impress me whatsoever.

Going to see this movie today with a friend but the reviews on this site and on review sites seem mixed. Any posters here who enjoyed the movie before I waste time and money on it?
