I know this thread began a while ago..but I just got here. Yes, this is one of the best ones, an example of a great combination of actors, director, cinematography, etc.
To share, I recall when the film was first being shown on TV and called my parents to say they really needed to see it. My Dad said, "Oh, we don't watch horror films"...I kind of laughed saying "it's not a horror film, it's very good and I think you will like it". My Dad called me later, and couldn't stop thanking me for having them watch.
I first saw this movie in a theater in Colon, Panama (we lived in the Canal Zone). The spanish speaking kids in front of us had obviously seen the movie before and every time the shark was about to appear they would yell out "Tiburon!!! Tiburon!!!!!" crazy.
And we were huge beach swimmers..,....so there was a good month or so before even I went back in the water.
ok - real quick: (there are so many!!!!) no particular order...
The shootout in downtown LA in Heat
Two from Shawshank Redemption: when the guys are sitting on the roof after tarring it and drinking cold beer provided by the AH guard.....and when Andy comes out of the tunnel in the rain after his escape
From The Rock - at the end - Nicolas Cage on his knees with the green flares
From Hidalgo.....when he makes it to the sea .... and the sheik tells him he has a fine pony.
A Time to Kill - Matthew McConaughey as the attorney - jury has their eyes closed when he is describing what happened to the little girl - and then he tells them "imagine that she is white.' (Powerful!)

As said, there are many!
I love the scenes toward the end and last image of "Shawshank"...
And one of the great movie scenes, from "A Few Good Men":
I have about 10 movies that count as my "favorite" for the experience I had when seeing them in the theatre. Being in my early sixties, I lived through some of what was probably one of the greatest eras of film making.
As a child I remember watching in terror from the back seat (supposed to be sleeping) as my parents watched What Ever Happened to Baby Jane, Planet of the Apes, at the drive-in theatre.
As a teen, I sat spellbound with my friends through Jaws, the original Star Wars trilogy, Close Encounters, and Alien. And later, more serious fare like Apocolypse Now and The Deer Hunter.
In the eighties I identified with The Rat Pack films, and loved Back to the Future, and Field of Dreams. I also cherish the movie Parenthood. lI thought back to that movie many times after I became a parent myself. I cried through Born on the Fourth of July (the Oscar should have gone to Tom Cruise. Maybe he will get his due with Maverick).
The nineties brought my children into the world and I shared their joy at the Disney movies and Pixar/Disney creations such as Toy Story. I loved The Six Sense and Titanic. That little film Office Space holds a forever place in my heart. By then I was in the corporate world - and someone got it.
But if I had to pick just one, and only one, I will go with the first movie I ever saw in the movie theatre, with my Dad, back when I was just five years old. A movie that is as awesome and gorgeous today as it was all those years ago.
I posted this scene before somewhere, but a few co-workers were talking about this movie and it reminded me of it. One of the greatest movie sequences in motion picture history, and unique in its lack of background music like most movies.
When it first came out, the car chase scene in The Matrix Reloaded. It looks really dated now with the CGI.
The scene in The Dark Knight when the Batmobile becomes the Batpod.
The last war scene with all the characters fighting Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. Comic Book nerds have been waiting to see this on the big screen for over 50 years.
The scene in The Color Purple when Celie meets her children at the end.
The opening scene in the last Austin Powers movie.
Rocky fighting the Russian and winning.
