It's an okay old time late Saturday nite type flick. Despite the fact that my copy was horribly skipped, most of the skipping happened during the chase scenes, so nothing really was lost. A down side is that it is about 20 minutes for the flick to get where it is going, where it was billed as sci fi but for the longest time, where's the sci fi and it is more like a film on how to travel and dress in South America. Say a 5.0.
Pretty good sword swinging flick of good characters, scantly clothing, and spoiled brats one loves to hate. Oh.........and they haven't invented the stirrups yet, either! A 8.2.
Oh, the acting is a little bit wooden but it is fun to remember the host of swords movies back in the 80s. Further, sword movies on Monday night help me chase away the Monday blues. A 7.0.
Boom-boom, bang-bang, zoom-zoom. From those qualities, it's a pretty good action movie which is fortunate since most of the dialogue is incomprehensible. Lots of flying nice airplanes but since the dialogue wasn't understandable, I got through the whole movie not knowing what the objective was. Given the way it went, I rather thought it was a Firefox story (get in there and steal the airplane). Still, it is beautifully cast and it even has a nice joke about men undressing women. Say a 6.5.
It's nice, great photography, an inspiring fantasy to get away from it all, some moments of tension but basically, it is a steady cruise all at the same speed. A 7.0.
Some people watch football this day; I am catching up on my TV. Everyone is playing their part properly. A 9.0.
