One of our family's favorite movies that we can watch over and over is The Odd Couple with Jack Lemon and Walter Matthau. Though this movie was released over 50 years ago, it is still enjoyable to watch by current generations. There were no gimmicky topics or effects, not a lot of dated lingo; it was funny, entertaining, and relatable.
The opposite of this would be something like Electric Dreams, released in the early 1980s (almost 20 years younger). In this one, a guy buys a big, clunky desktop computer, sets it up, and the computer ends up falling in love with him. Obviously the fact that technology features highly in this movie does it no favors for timelessness, because computers/technology that is just 3-5 years old already seems ridiculous/outdated.
So, when you think about a movie having a "timeless" quality, which movie(s) come to mind?
