Those with three screens with two on the front sides of the room to extend the picture. I saw Thor and was quite immersed with the extended screen experience. Any other films you watched in that format?
I predict it'll go the way that 3-D did in the 1950s. It takes some of the worst aspects of Cinerama and tries to kludge together a system that skips the projectionists. Almost all storytelling experiences in movies depend upon actors being able to go on and off stage, have a focus of attention, and avoid distraction. From a production point of view, there are lots of lights and bits of equipment just outside of camera view, not to mention grips, assistant directors, prop managers, dressers and the like.
It'll get tried, there will be hoopla, and then the producers will say "Wait a sec! We have this extra cost and we can't package it for resale in streaming or video! Dump it!"
