Guess, I'll start it.
I'm about 30 min into it.
Past the first major battle.
Yes, yes, yes, it is very well choreographed in typical JW style.
Problem being - you can SEE, it's choreographed. You can clearly see, how actors wait to move into proper positions, how punches are withdrawn. If you do not pay attention or notice such things, then yes, it is great. But, if you do - ehhh....
I mean, I'm not even mentioning the plot, that is so bogus .... but watches THAT for some fancy story line, right?

That pretty much describes every John Wick movie.
John Wick is ballet cinema for guys. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But it is what it is.
Obviously, the first one was awesome just for being the original.
Had a good story line even though it wasn't remotely original (a hitman coming out of retirement for revenge).
Even though the fight/shooting scenes' formulaic choreography became somewhat familiar by the sequel, it was still pretty decent and enjoyable, too.
The third installment is where it went downhill. It was mostly, wash, rinse, repeat...
It wasn't awful but it just didn't excite me anywhere near as much as the first or even the second one.
All good movie series should wrap things up as a trilogy, at the most. Otherwise, they are bound to have a "tired, same old same" feeling.
That said, Hollywood producers know quite well when they have a cash cow in their hands.
I hope your home set has a great sound system. I think this is another go to the big screen experience while we watch the storyline shows at home
There are so many scenes in 2 and 3 shot at night and 4 looks as much or more
VERY difficult to see complex action scenes on home screen when shot like that
Everything just blends together like black ink on black paper
The Paris roundabout, the Triumphal Arc fight is AWESOME!! Like - AAHHHHWWWSOME! Of course, totally unrealistic, as JW gets hit by cars at various speeds maybe six or so times, flying into the air or denting a minivan but - it is very well done.
Total meh to the final, well, pre final fight on stairs. It is still very well done, it's just - stupid. Dragged and dragged and dragged.
Yeah, they sure did some stuntwork on this.
What's up with Donnie Yen that he developed taste to playing blind killer characters?
I'm genuinely curious: Were you in the theater when you posted that?
I wonder why people interrupt a film partway through in order to post about it. I prefer to watch the entire movie and comment later, if I feel compelled.
