I have many but one of my all time favorites is "Witness for the Prosecution" with Marlena Dietrich, Tyrone Powers and Charles Laughton. If it comes on TCM I watch!
Gosh, this is giving me lots of new ideas for my Netflix queue!
I'm so into old movies lately. I love them!
Does anyone like Silent Films? I watched the 1921 Camille the other night with Rudolph Valentino. Fabulous. You can also find the entire film on You Tube.
Casablanca -did Rick and Elsa get it on that night in Casablanca? The story is wonderfully ambiguous.
Grapes of Wrath -loved John Carridine's portrayal, a highlight was later seeing him in a play.
Harvey -great fun
The Thin Man films - Wm Powell & Myrna Loy. Hysterical and the high style of the clothing is drop dead gorgeous, better looking than just about anything today.
Silent Films -
the Moroder interpretation of Metropolis. A fantastic mix of old and new.
M Moody and dark
Broken Blossoms Have a signed poster from L Gish.
The Great Dictator Hard to believe that Chaplin was reviled for his politics after seeing this.
Birth of a Nation Don't care what others say, this does point out the wrongs of the carpetbaggers.

Nick: Two martinis, please.
Nora: I'll have the same.
There are many, but one of my favorites is It Happened One Night with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert. It's one of the first great road trip movies--and quite fun.

CC's role was first offered to the beloved Carole Lombard - what would THAT have been like! It would have its own loop-channel on TV.
Good CL movies to look for - My Man Godfrey, Twentieth Century, Nothing Sacred, To Be or Not to Be.
Last night I watched "What Happened to Baby Jane?" Bette Davis plays a fantastic insane person person in the movie. I love her!
Another movie I really like is "Baby Face" with Barbara Stynwick. It was made in 1933 and the star sleeps her way to the top!
What's your favorite?
My ex really liked Baby Face, too; I've never seen it but it sounds amazing in that skanky pre-Code way.
Thinking of Barbara Stanwyck, dont forget the noirs of the 40s and their mama, the German Weimar pictures of the 20s and 30s.
And Erich von Stroheim.
