I know there are a lot of people who don't care for Renee', but this is a really good movie. It's the story of Beatrix Potter, author and illustrator of "Peter Rabbit" and lots of other kids books. Ewan McGregor and Emily Watson co-star.

Good for all ages.

Great story, actors and lovely cinematography. It's one of Ms Z's best. I learned a lot about Beatrix too. A free thinker and an early conservationist, her success allowed her to acquire the lands that would be given to the British people as the heart of the Lake District National Park in northwest England.

Yeah, but it's got Ewan McGregor. That makes up for any amount of Renee. It was a fascinating, and tragic story. I'll ditto the learning so much more about Beatrix Potter. It prompted me to search the internet for data about her. Fascinating.

Very nice movie, and do like Renee. Thought she did a very good job with the content, although the story line seemed slow and labored to me, but maybe I need to watch it again. Love Beatrix Potter though, have the cute videos of her stories too!

I'm the opposite. I've never been a fan of McGregor though I like him in this film. But, she has done so many wonderful roles of such a wide variety. When the film was on a movie channel, I must have watched it at least 10 times. It's really sweet, charming and sad. I loved the illustrations coming to life.

This is my favorite scene:

Ewan McGregor singing "Let me teach you how to dance" - YouTube
I plan to learn this on my bowed psaltery because I think it would fit the instrument quite well.
