I have the Odorama card from Polyester, autographed by Divine himself. Got it at the grand opening of the movie in Georgetown, Washington DC
I'm jealous ..I think Divine is too funny...especially in POLYESTER and LUST IN THE DUST...she gets shot in the behind...pulls out the bullet(like nothing happened) throws it aside and calls the lady who shot her "a Bit$h"...I have a sick sense of humor...LOL. .
Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All by Myself movie storyline is more than enough to take your breath away, it’s got some magnetic force that captivates you with immediate effect. If I was asked to rate this movie, I would have given 10 out of 10 to this movie. So lift your leisure, watch “Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All by Myself†movie, and rejoice the entertainment.
I'm not sure about the "obscure" definition applying to this one, but because of its age, I'm guessing not many have heard of it before, so I'll include 1948's Johnny Belinda with Jane Wyman (former President Reagan's first wife). She never utters a single sound in the entire movie (she plays a deaf mute), yet her performance was so exceptional that she won the Academy Award for Best Lead Actress in a Motion Picture for it. It was also nominated for 12 more Oscars:
Best Picture
Best Actor - Lew Ayres
Best Supporting Actor - Charles Bickford
Best Supporting Actress - Agnes Moorehead
Best Director - Jean Negulesco
Best Screenplay - Allen Vincent
Best Screenplay - Irma Von Cube
Best Drama or Comedy Score - Max Steiner
Best Editing - David Weisbart
Best Black and White Art Direction - Robert M. Haas
Best Black and White Art Direction - William Wallace
Best Black and White Cinematography - Ted D. McCord

Thanx...I never heard of it.... Have you seen: The Snake Pit, King's Row, Miracle At Morgan's Creek, Lifeboat...a few old, great and possibly(these days) obscure movies? .

I have seen Lifeboat, but not the others. I'll have to check them out!
There was a musical version of Li'l Abner that should be more popular than it is. I always thought they could do a great film of L'il Abner, with the shmoos in CGI. (Even a Pixar version would be great!) It's funny, political and relevant.
Primer, a Dallas home made film in 2004, collected the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.
Quote:
Primer is a 2004 American science fiction film about the accidental discovery of time travel. The film was written, directed and produced by Shane Carruth, a mathematician and a former engineer, and was completed on a budget of $7,000
I'm spell bound each time I view the film.
